Zahedi date is one of the date fruits that has many fans in other countries. The best Iranian Zahedi date is grown in Firozabad, Fars province, Khuzestan and Dashtestan, Bushehr province, respectively. These dates have different technical characteristics according to the type of agriculture.
This date color is mostly yellow and in some areas tends to brown. Its shape is oval and the flesh to seed size ratio is significant. Also, its maximum length is 8.3 cm. The moisture content of Zahedi dates is less than 14%, which puts it in the category of semi-dry dates. Zahedi dates are very nutritious and rich in fiber, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and many essential vitamins such as A, B and C.
