Styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN), a hard and transparent plastic produced by the copolymerization of styrene and acrylonitrile. SAN combines the transparency and rigidity of polystyrene with the hardness, strength and resistance to heat and solvent of polyacrylonitrile. It makes SAN very suitable for use in the kitchen as containers, basins and refrigerator connections. It is also used for the outer wall of insulated containers, coffee filters, glasses and glasses, as well as food storage containers. The pleasant appearance of SAN, especially when dyed, and the ease of printing on SAN have made it a good place in the production of many bathroom accessories and cosmetic packaging.
