Rabbi is another type of date fruit. It is black and soft and its sweetness is mild. Some people prefer Rabi dates to Mozafati dates because of its less sweetness. The main production center of this date is in the southeast of Iran in Sistan and Baluchestan, Zabul, Saravan, Iranshahr and Chabahar.
Rabbi dates are dark brown to black. The seed is smaller than the flesh and its shell and texture are easily washed. These dates are in the group of semi-dry dates with moisture less than 14%. This date is a little long and its normal length is (3-5 cm). Rabi is rich in antioxidants that help regulate blood pressure and control stress. It also prevents blood clots.
