Polyethylene terephthalate is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family and is used in fibers for clothing, containers for liquids and foods, and thermoforming for manufacturing, and in combination with glass fiber for engineering resins. Polyethylene terephthalate is a polymer that is often used to produce 70% polyester fibers, 22% bottle resin and 6% film. But in Iran it is mostly used to make bottles.
