Titanium dioxide, also known as titanium oxide or titania. The most important areas of application of titanium dioxide are paint, alcohol varnish (glaze), paper and plastic, which is about 80% of the world’s titanium dioxide consumption. Other applications of pigment such as fabric printing, fibers, rubber, cosmetics and food products are 8%. Other applications of this material are in the glass industry, electrical ceramics and chemical intermediates. Titanium dioxide has been statistically shown to increase the whiteness of powdered milk, which increases the sensory acceptability of powdered milk.
