Klotte date is a type of date fruit that is cultivated in Iran and in the cities of Manojan, Kahnuj, Rudbar, Jiroft and Anbarabad. It is large in size, soft in texture and easy to chew. It is one of the fragrant dates and its color varies from light brown to dark brown. Depending on the climate of the cultivated area and the time of harvest, its humidity varies between 14 and 22 percent. Its appearance is similar to Mazafati dates, but compared to Mazafati dates, Klotte dates have a relatively bright color and a slightly firmer texture.
This date is a fruit with high nutritional value and rich in carbohydrates, fiber, protein, minerals and various vitamins. The vitamins and nutrients in it have made this fruit one of the foods that are useful for health and body growth. Continuous consumption of dates can be effective in treating many diseases.
